In conjunction with Harris Interactive, the U.S. Travel Association recently conducted a study revealing that travel is linked to positive health and relationship benefits.
The study found that couples who travel together generally maintain healthier, happier relationships than couples who do not travel together. Traveling couples rated their relationships higher in all areas, including romance and intimacy.
Taking a vacation also has been shown to reduce the risk of heart attack and coronary heart disease. Additionally, people who took regular vacations were less likely to become tense, depressed, and tired than those who took vacations less frequently or not at all.
